THIS week we showcase another interesting facet of the month-long George Town Unesco heritage site one-year listing celebrations in July: Art International Penang 2009.  Themed "Art, Life and Vision", this exhibition which was held from July 24 to 26 aimed to promote the understanding and appreciation of art and culture. It featured artworks by 100 international artists including artists from Singapore, Vietnam, USA, Germany, Lebanon, etc, and was held at the Penang Town Hall. Read here for profiles of the artists.
Fascinatingly, this exhibition did not confine itself to the visual arts, but also showcased myriad artistic expressions such as the performing arts, art workshops and symphony orchestra music. View slideshow for photos on exhibition*.
